The Berwyn News Crew seeks to bring a bilingual community newspaper to Berwyn. This newspaper will focus on local government, culture, politics, entertainment, and community issues. Berwyn Comunidad en Acción / Berwyn Community Action
This is a resident-led community group that focuses on justice issues in Berwyn and the surrounding communities. The group helped pass Berwyn’s Welcoming City Ordinance and convinced Berwyn’s City Council to keep workers’ rights by opting in to the Cook County Minimum Wage/Paid Sick Leave ordinance. At the school level, this group is working with the BSD100 School Board to make sure that BSD100 has a strong Welcoming Policy for immigrant students, parents, and teachers.
